There are many times where you might not want to use your best wine glasses for a party or an event. The stem is the foundation and without strength in that area, the wine glass is worthless. One great place to look for inexpensive glasses is at thrift or second hand stores. They might be dirty, but a quick wash and they will be good as new. Many times you can find unique collections at reasonable prices that will sure to be a hit at any even or gathering.
Another place to look for them is at yard sales. There are hundreds of thousands of yard sales across the United States each year, each with an opportunity to find rare and eclectic finds. Many people will sell partial sets of wine glasses, and since they are missing one or more of them, the price can be easily negotiated. Don’t be afraid to barter!
